CUSOM Block 8: Apps

DynaMed Plus

Create an account within DynaMedPlus and register for a free account.  Then use the link on the DynaMed launch page to obtain the app.  DynaMedPlus is usable even when you are not connected to the internet.  

Important:  Make sure you are on a wifi connection the first time you use the app.  DynaMed downloads directly to your phone, and can take up to 20 minutes to download onto your device.

AccessMedicine

Create a free personal account by clicking the registration link on the upper right of the page.  Once you have created an account, download the AccessMedicine app from Apple or Android. Log in using the login and password you created.

Note:  You must log in to AccessMedicine through the library's web site once every thirty days to keep your app active.  Once you have logged in, press the reload symbol on the app to refresh it.

Using the app, you can use Quick Diagnosis & Treatment, Pocket Guide to Diagnostic Tests, Diagnosaurus and Fitzpatrick's Clinical Dermatology Atlas.

  1. Click this link
  2. Login to UptoDate with your Campbell email credentials.
  3. Create a free personal account in UptoDate by clicking the Login / Register link at the top of the page.
  4. Follow the onscreen directions.
  5. Once your account is created, you will receive a link to install the app.

Note:  You have to reauthenicate your association with Campbell every thirty days.  To do this, go to UptoDate through the medical library's home page and then login to UptoDate using the credentials you created when you set up your account.

Diagnosaurus

This differential diagnosis tool is a component of AccessMedicine.  

To use AccessMedicine remotely:

  1. Go the the AccessMedicine home page.
  2. Click Campbell University at the top of the page.
  3. Follow the directions to create a personal profile.
  4. Download the app from your app store.
  5. Use your created credentials (NOT your Campbell credentials) to log in.
