Resident Physician Resources: Apps

This guide conveniently centralizes information resources for resident physicians

There are several "apps" or mobile friendly products on this page.  Scroll down!   

Access Medicine / Access Emergency Medicine / Access Pharmacy

Campbell does not have access to Access Medicine/Access Emergency Medicine /Access Pharmacy as "apps".  However, they can be used on your mobile device if you bookmark it on your home screen.

  1. From your device, use these links to go to the desired product -- Access Medicine, Access Emergency Medicine, or Access Pharmacy.
  2. Save the page to your device's home screen.
  3. Login to Access Medicine (or Access Emergency Medicine or Access Pharmacy)using your WebAccess credentials.
  4. When prompted by your device, choose Save Password (this should prevent you from having to log in each time).
  5. Click the Filter By bar at the bottom and select Content Type.
  6. Select Procedures Consult or Video.

Audio Digest

Download the app from Google Play or the Apple App store.  Use the plain yellow Audio Digest version, NOT the platinum version.

Email Jane or Sarah for the login/password information, or call the medical library at 910-893-7700.

Please do not share the login / password information with those who are not affiliated with Campbell.

Note:  Currently the "CEU" function is unavailable.  However, enjoy the audio presentations!

PubMed4Health

Search for PubMed4Hh in your app store.  This app enables you to search PubMed by constructing a PICO inquiry.

DynaMed

  1. Follow this link.
  2. Create an account within DynaMedPlus. 
  3. Use the link on the DynaMed launch page to obtain the app.  DynaMedPlus is usable even when you are not connected to the internet.  

Important:  Make sure you are on a wifi connection the first time you use the app.  DynaMed downloads directly to your phone, and can take up to 20 minutes to download onto your device.

Clinical Key

Campbell does not have access to the Clinical Key app; however, it can be used on your mobile device if you bookmark it on your home screen.  

  1. From your device, follow this link..
  2. Save the page to your home screen.
  3. Login to Clinical Key using your WebAccess credentials.
  4. When prompted by your device, choose Save Password (this should prevent you from having to log in each time).

PubMed Mobile

Essential Evidence Plus (Cochrane)

Essential Evidence automatically optimizes for any mobile device you use.

TRIP (Turning Research Into Practice) Database

  1. From your device, follow this link.
  2. Click the Database tab.
  3. Navigate alphabetically to the TRIP Pro database.
  4. Open the link.
  5. Save to your home screen.
