Produced for Ken Jones by Dan Maynard, Adapted from Business Research & Analysis remote delivery LibGuide

Welcome!

Scope

This Library Guide is assigned to selected Blackboard courses as the primary launching space for the ‘remote delivery’ of important commonly known business resources and for assisting students with writing in an APA style that is adapted for the School of Business.

Use of this Guide

The Investigate ... pages are designed to function across disciplines by organizing the material conceptually a:

  • Useful in discovering Business Environments (i.e. external aspects, industries, markets, e.g. SWOT Opportunities & Threats, and environmental scanning) or;
  • Useful in discovering Business Habitats (i.e. internal operations, characteristics of localities, individual establishments, e.g. SWOT Strengths & Weaknesses).
  • This presentation and arrangement of library materials is derived from the Library's Information Literacy Plan - Framework 6. Searching as strategic exploration.

The Report your findings page provides the LFSB Writing Rubric, links to APA formats, a generic APA Template of a research paper that students can download to begin their paper, and a sample paper taken from an actual assignment. This presentation and arrangement of library materials is derived from the Library's Information Literacy Plan - Framework 1. Scholarship as conversation.
