Getting Started

Please read the key documents that are listed below, they provide guidance for completing your Case assignment.

  • The text of your case, the chapter of your textbook, or articles you read will often provide references to sources that you may wish to use in researching your Case Report. The "Library Materials" page of this Guide provides a curated list of links to the Library's databases that may help you retrieve cited articles, or discover updates for your assignment. The "APA Style" tab provides links to more detailed information about how to present headings, references, in-text citations, and how to attribute your (and your group's, own work.
  • Download the BLANK APA Case template to get a running start on formatting your case.

Schedule

Library Orientation TBD - TBD

WK 8 End of Semester Project - due December 2, 2021

Assignments

Project: The end-of-semester project will be an individual assignment that requires students to integrate ideas from the course with real-world business challenges. It may be a memo, short research paper or case. The instructor will provide details in class and on Blackboard.

Presentation: Each student or group of students will present at least one case analysis. Presentations are brief summaries of the students’ case analysis supplemented with visual aids. Students should be able to demonstrate professional presentation skills and the ability to “think on their feet” by answering questions about the case.

Case Studies: Students will complete approximately six case analyses in small groups. Case analyses are designed to demonstrate your understanding of the course concepts, with emphasis on what the concepts look like in real-world contexts. Additional emphasis is placed on problem-solving, and professional-quality communication.
