New to RefWorks or want to start using the new version?
   Sign up for an Individual Account

When signing up for your account, use your Campbell e-mail address to prove affiliation with Campbell University.

New RefWorks is recommended.

Support is being phased out for RefWorks Legacy.  Ask a librarian how to transfer your folders and citations to New RefWorks or look for instructions on the New RefWorks Research Guide.

Importing Citations to RefWorks from PubMed

  1. Conduct your search in Pubmed.
  2. Mark the records you wish to export.  Note: To export all the citations, do not mark any records.
  3. From Send to, select Citation manager and click the Create File button.
  4. Navigate to the local drive and directory where you want to save the file and save the file in the *.nbib format.
  5. Log in to RefWorks.
  6. Select + Import references from the toolbar..
  7. To Import from a file, select the .nbib file you saved to your computer.
  8. The file will be imported as NLM PubMed.
  9. Click Import.
  10. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
