JumpStart Reading With Karaoke
Here's something different-a reading program that listens to the child. Children read each new word aloud into the included microphone, in karaoke fashion. More than 20 original read-along karaoke songs (sung by Christopher Smith, a former kindergarten teacher, accompanied by the Big Rns band) and videos feature specially designed rhythms, rhymes, tempos, and tunes to get kids reading and singing along. Each song features specific word families and custom rhythms and rhymes, guiding children through the beginning stages of reading. The Voice Activated Learning (VAL) is an effective way to teach language development and early reading skills, using the learner's voice to activate and reinforce the learn-to-read process. VAL provides feedback regarding the pronunciation of words read aloud into the included microphone, along with helpful hints and enthusiastic encouragement.
